The President of the UAE, Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reviewed Monday at the presidential palace the comprehensive development plan of the Al Raha Beach.
The expansion project, to cost about Dh54 billion, will make the beach to one of Abu Dhabi’s major landmarks, Khaleej Times reported.
The project, which upon completion would face-lift the UAE capital, covers an area of about 6.8 million square metres. Being supervised by the Al Dar Real Estate, the total area of the project is to expand to about 12 million square metres and would accommodate about 120,000 people.
