An estimated 16,500 new jobs are likely to be created as a result of the proposed Dh10.5 billion DP World development project for the London Gateway Port and Park.
The new industrial site is set to include a 2,300-metre container quay with a capacity of 3.5 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent unit) a year, according to Gulf News.
Simon Moore, who was DP World's senior vice-president, has been named chief executive of London Gateway.
