$146 billion traded on Arabian Gulf stock markets in 2001

The Director General of the Bkheit Investment Center, Bahseer Bkheit, recently estimated the value of the Arabian Gulf stock exchanges at $146 billion, reported Al-Hayat . The Saudi Stock Exchange controls 50 percent of these funds, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) controls 20 percent, while the rest is divided between Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. — (menareport.com)
