A $130 million (BD49m) contract was recently awarded to G P Zachariades (GPZ) by Durrat Al Bahrain for the construction of 318 villas on Atoll Islands 3 and 4.
The contract marks the launching of the second phase of the construction of luxury villas at the landmark project, according to Gulf Daily News.
Work is set to begin at some point in October.
The overall value of contracts for both phases one and two villa construction and infrastructure at Durrat Al Bahrain currently stands at more than $500 million.
