A Saudi man seeks to enter the Guinness Book of Records for collecting matchboxes. The man is a well known and serious figure in the Kingdom.
Abdul Aziz Ismail Daghistani is a former Shura Council member and President of the Economic Studies House in Riyadh. According to him, he has so far collected some 300,000 matchboxes.
Daghistani conveyed that this hobby started in the 1970s when he went to a restaurant in the city of Houston. It was Christmas time and he got as a gift a special box.
Interestingly enough, the matchboxes collected by this Saudi man were never used and they are completely new. The number of boxes looks enough to qualify Daghistani to enter the Guinness Book of Records one day soon.
