Barwa to partner with INJAZ Qatar

To mark its 5th Anniversary, Barwa Real Estate has announced that it will partner with INJAZ Qatar from 2011. Through this partnership, Barwa will be sponsoring INJAZ programs and Barwa staff will join a growing body of volunteers who teach INJAZ courses to secondary school and university students.
Mr Yousif R. Al Khater, Group CEO of Barwa, said: “Barwa’s sponsorship of INJAZ reflects its strong commitment to Qatar’s National Vision 2030 that puts human capital and its development through education at the heart of everything that the country is trying to achieve. This partnership also adds a great value to Barwa’s various corporate social responsibility initiatives and programs.. By encouraging more Qataris into the private sector through INJAZ’s courses on financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness, Barwa will help students to develop the skills to become the leaders of tomorrow.”
Barwa’s sponsorship of INJAZ offers financial support and the chance for corporate volunteers from Barwa and its subsidiaries to get involved. Barwa employees who wish to contribute will attend a one-day INJAZ training course before participating.

INJAZ provides hands-on empirical learning to develop practical business skills in students to prepare and inspire them to succeed in a global economy. Through INJAZ courses, students can hone interpersonal skills for the workplace and learn about financial management, planning and budgeting, as well as business ethics. INJAZ courses teach them to communicate effectively and develop leadership and teamwork skills.
Barwa’s contribution will also 1help sponsor the National Student Company Competition to select the best Student Company of the Year, an outcome of the Company Program. Barwa’s support will also help reach 1500 students during 2011 through the series of INJAZ work readiness courses.
