Arab Bank employees volunteer in Ajloun to support the local community

As part of Arab Bank’s ongoing commitments to support poverty alleviation initiatives in the Kingdom which comes under the Bank’s Sustainability program, Arab Bank employees, in coordination with the Jordan River Foundation (JRF), volunteered their time and efforts to support local community projects in Ajloun recently.
Twenty Arab Bank employees visited the Ajloun Agricultural Complex as part of the JRF’s ‘Community Empowerment Program’ to help farmers and the local community plant seedlings, cleanup the green houses and package food products such as molasses and vinegar.
Ms. Dina Shoman, Executive Vice President of Branding at Arab Bank commented: “The Jordan River Foundation’s community empowerment program makes a big impact within local communities.” She further added: “Many of these families depend on the income generated from these agricultural projects; Arab Bank employees’ supporting their work in this field helps them in making it a sustainable source of income, which is the first step towards empowerment.”
Eng. Ghaleb Qudah, Jordan River Community Empowerment Program Director, JRF Deputy expressed JRF’s great appreciation of Arab Bank’s volunteering initiative, which reflects sincere commitment to its corporate social responsibility and to serving the local communities in reference to Arab Bank’s support of JRF’s developmental efforts in different areas of the country.
Eng. Qudah mentioned that although such volunteering have great influence in motivating members of the local communities to exert more efforts which will enhance living circumstances.
It is worth mentioning that Arab Bank has cooperated with the Jordan River Foundation in its Community Empowerment program across the Kingdom with such initiatives as supporting several community based organizations in Maan and Zarqa through the allocation of JD 148,000 in revolving loans to provide support for income generating projects.
