All-new Volkswagen Jetta launched in Abu Dhabi

Volkswagen Ali & Sons launched the all-new, redesigned and restyled Jetta, following the model’s immense success around the globe with over 9.6 million units sold.

Delivering superior class in a compact design, the new impressively styled Jetta is comfortable, safe and above all affordable. The 2011 Jetta is the ideal choice for customers looking for German quality engineering, without the hefty price tag. Starting from 69,400 AED, Volkswagen automotive excellence is now more accessible than ever to people in Abu Dhabi.

The brand-new Jetta has been completely redesigned to incorporate a sleek and sporty look, in an impressively styled saloon packed with the latest in advanced features. Measuring in at 4.64 metres long, the 2011 Jetta also has an extended wheelbase which means customers now get much more for a lot less. The abundant interior offers better all-around head and leg room that rivals with other midsize cars, and is a great option for families. Outside, the new Jetta incorporates modern dynamic design with clear precise lines and athletically muscular surfaces, which gives the saloon an image of timeless elegance and styling, and extends the offering of Volkswagen models available in the region.

The 2011 Jetta comes with a 2.0 litre petrol engine, producing 85kW/115 bhp, in addition to a 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox. Larger and more comfortable, sustainable and dynamic, the designers and engineers have also crafted the interiors of the five-seater down to the last detail.

The all-new Jetta is available in three configurations; Trendline, Comfortline and Comfortline Plus+.

The entry level model into the world of Jetta is the Trendline. It offers enhanced safety upgrades including six airbags, safety-optimized front headrests, separate daytime running lights, front 3-point belts with height adjustment and seat-belt tensioners, automatic hazard lights on hard braking, ABS with braking assistant and remote control central locking. Outside, the Jetta Trendline features 16-inch steel wheels and electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors. Inside, the Jetta has been transformed with more rear passenger leg room, a multi-function display, RCD 310 sound system with CD player and eight speakers. Making it through the summer will be a breeze with the climatic air conditioning and a glove compartment complete with a cooling system.

Comfortline is the next level up with its distinguished features that include chrome accents on the radiator grille and 16-inch, 5-spoke “Navarra” alloy wheels. Details include automatic air condition "Climatronic" with dual zone climate control, which can be separately controlled, a multi-function leather steering wheel (3 spoke) with aluminium decorative inserts with an integrated MFD, radio and telephone. For added safety, Comfortline also has parking distance control with acoustic warning signals at the front and rear of the vehicle, and an anti-theft alarm system.

The most striking upgrades come with Jetta’s Comfortline Plus+ model. Plus+ sits on 17-inch alloy wheels (“Porto” type with ten spokes), has a keyless locking and starting system “Keyless Access” and front sports seats with partial leather seat covering, and electronically adjustable lumber support. The audio system is also highly sophisticated with an RCD 510 radio with a touch screen colour display, and a mobile device interface MEDIA-IN with ipod/iphone adapter cable.
