ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based university dedicated to high-quality, value-based education, recently signed an agreement with the Emirates National Students Union (ENSU) to allot on-campus office space to promote the organization’s activities. Dr. Hamdi Sheibani, ALHOSN University Provost, and Ms. Hajer Al Khanji, ENSU Partnerships and Offices Officer, endorsed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at ALHOSN’s campus. The new facility is officially called the Emirates National Female Students Union- ALHOSN University branch.

Under the terms of the partnership, ENSU’s ALHOSN chapter will operate internally as an independent student entity applying all provisions under the Union’s constitution and regulations. The office will coordinate activities with all interested female students to enrich their academic and personal life, adding value to ALHOSN’s emphasis on extracurricular activities and community service.

“The Emirates National Students Union/Females embodies two values that ALHOSN has been staunchly supporting since its establishment: greater opportunities for UAE women and the best support for the welfare of students. By allocating facilities within our campus, we allow the Union to expand the scope of its advocacy while providing our students with access to its programs and activities. We look forward to the positive influence of the Union’s office on the confidence and growth of our female students and the personal and academic development of the entire student body,” said Ghada Qabha, Director of Student Affairs, ALHOSN University.

The Emirates National Students Union was founded in 1981 as an independent Arab and Muslim organization representing students inside and outside of the UAE. The Union assists university students in their personal and academic growth and also represents them in national forums as well as scientific institutions, seminars and conferences. The Union supports the UAE’s goal of fostering unity among the people of the Emirates and promoting cooperation among Gulf, Arab, Islamic and international student organizations. It actively supports various pro-Arab and Islamic causes.

ALHOSN University was founded in 2005 by the Abu Dhabi Holding Company to meet growing demand for high-quality education based on the North American model of higher education. Named after the historic ALHOSN Palace in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, the university admits students of all nationalities to its 11 undergraduate and 7 graduate programs under the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Business, and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
