AGMC, the authorized Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Dealer in Dubai, Sharjah & Northern Emirates, has recorded a phenomenal 178% growth in Rolls-Royce sales in the first quarter (Q1) of 2011 compared to the same period in 2010. This significant increase represents the strongest growth in the Middle East during the quarter, as the sales of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars soar.

Matching the Rolls-Royce motto of perfection in every aspect, AGMC has bucked the industry trend to achieve record sales growth in Q1 of this year. The bespoke sales initiatives by AGMC, combined with excellent driving of the ultra luxury automobile brand, have resulted in a winning strategy demonstrated by the outstanding results.

"Such strong results not only reiterate the continued passion our discerning Dubai clients have for Rolls-Royce cars but also confirms that the Emirate remains at the forefront in terms of its appreciation for true luxury," said Mohammed El-Arishy, Brand Manager of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars at AGMC.

"AGMC has been a proud brand custodian of Rolls-Royce in the region since 2003. It is an honour to represent a brand with deep heritage and history extending over a century and is still considered the pinnacle of automotive brands around the world. We are pleased with the robust results achieved in the first quarter and we look forward to maintaining this momentum throughout the remainder of the year," added El-Arishy.

This remarkable achievement also coincides with Dubai welcoming two very unique Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary Collection Phantom models. 2011 celebrates the centenary of the Spirit of Ecstasy - the legendary figurine that was originally introduced on all Rolls-Royce cars in 1911. In celebration of the epic anniversary, Rolls-Royce announced the production of 100 Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary Collection Phantom Family models. Two of these exclusive cars will reach Dubai this year, with the first arriving in May 2011.

The special edition Phantom is distinguished by a number of features, including unique paint colours, commemorative plaques, special instruments and a souvenir statuette of the "graceful little goddess" for every owner of this exquisite and limited edition car.

The Centenary Collection Cars feature very special Spirit of Ecstasy figurines. Cast in Britannia Silver and bathed in a halo of white light, they stand on a base complete with black-gold plated bezel bearing the inscription ''Spirit of Ecstasy Centenary - 2011''. The design is finished with a set of six hallmarks, two of which have been designed specifically for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Background Information

Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce Limited was a renowned British car and, from 1914 on, aero-engine manufacturing company founded by Charles Stewart Rolls and Henry Royce on 15 March 1906 as the result of a partnership formed in 1904.

In 1971, Rolls-Royce was crippled by the development of the advanced RB211 jet engine, resulting in the nationalisation of the company as Rolls-Royce (1971) Limited. In 1973, the car division was separated from the parent company as Rolls-Royce Motors. Rolls-Royce (1971) Limited continued as a nationalised company until it was privatised in 1987 as Rolls-Royce plc.
