2011 Cadillac Escalade ranked no. 1 in SUV segment in J.D. Power Initial Quality Study

Cadillac is now ranked among the top 10 automotive brands for initial quality (ranking 9thoverall), with the Escalade topping the large premium crossover/SUV segment for the second consecutive year, according to the 2011 J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study.
“Escalade’s highest-in-segment leadership showcases Cadillac’s commitment to our customers,” said Adrian Enciso, Regional Brand Manager. “We’re now focused on continuing and expanding our brand’s quality improvement in every segment in which we compete.”
The 2011 IQS is based on responses from more than 73,000 purchasers and lessees of new 2011 model year vehicles surveyed after 90 days of ownership. The study includes a 228-question survey designed to provide manufacturers with information they can use to quickly identify problems and drive improvement.
As in the U.S, Cadillac continues to gain momentum in the Middle East market, registering 14% sales increase in June 2011.
The brand’s marketplace gains have been driven by consistently strong demand for the Escalade ESV luxury SUV, the CTS family of luxury cars and the SRX crossover as reflected by the year to date sales which have gone up 19%, 6% and 12% respectively.
Cadillac’s latest additions to the line-up, the CTS Coupe and the CTS V-Coupe, have received a number of regional recognitions including ‘’Coupe of the Year’’ by Car Middle East and ‘’GT of the Year’’ by Evo Middle East in December 2010.
