This Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), Deira City Centre is set to wow crowds with its myriad entertainment offerings! Complementing the mall’s renowned summer discounts and promotions, an outstanding lineup of live performances and fun-filled activities will be presented throughout June and July.

Countless parades, special performances, arts & crafts and fancy dress-ups will make up the bulk of this much-loved mall’s daily DSS activities. Throughout June and July the numerous themed children’s activities will keep kids entertained for hours allowing parents to “shop til they drop”, taking advantage of the amazing promotional offers!

‘The Animal Kingdom’, the first series of Deira City Centre’s ‘Land of Make Believe’ kids’ activities, has already opened and will run every day from 10am to 10pm until the 2^nd July. Taking center stage from the 3^rd July to the 23^rd July will be ‘Witches & Wizards’. This activity is also set to run daily from 10am to 10pm. Additionally, circus acts featuring clowns, jugglers and magicians, as well as fun and interactive carnival parades will be roaming the mall throughout this five-week festive period.

Not only will children have the opportunity to meet and greet such loveable characters every day, they can also partake in the DSS Signature Event - Kids Fashion Week, happening on July 27 – 31. Deira City Centre is hosting this popular initiative for the third consecutive year, and once again, the admired event will feature a display of the most colourful and coolest designs all dedicated to young fashioniatas as they take to the runway as glammed up versions of themselves!

Movie goers are also taken care of this DSS, with Deira City Centre playing host to the premiere of the highly-anticipated Harry Potter finale: ‘Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows – Part 2’.  The premier is set to take place on the 11th of July and exclusive premiere tickets will be given away through www.coolkids.ae and Deira City Centre’s Facebook page.

Moreover, those visiting the mall’s Facebook page, facebook.com/DeiraCityCentre, can win one of the weekly ‘Family Fun Packages’ up for grabs.  Each package will provide the winner’s family with entertainment vouchers to Magic Planet, the cinemas and Bowling City, entry passes to the kids’ activities on the Centre Stage, as well as F&B vouchers from various food outlets – Uno Chicago Grill, PULP Juice Bar, Columbus Café, Fujiyama and Haagen Dazs.  Each winner also gets a voucher to spend at every child’s favourite store, Toys ‘R Us, opening at the mall in July! 

In collaboration with Mall of the Emirates and Mirdif City Centre, customers frequenting Deira City Centre throughout DSS will have the chance to win weekly shopping sprees worth a total of AED 1.5 million!  From 22 June, any visitor who shops at any of these three malls and spends a combined total of AED 300 will automatically be entered into this amazing prize draw.
