Lebanese actress Sireen Abd Al Nour defended her character in the television drama series “Sarah”, stressing that she did not cheat on her husband, but rather he is the one who was having an affair with his secretary.
Sireen added that her character had refused to become romantically involved with another man until she was divorced from her cheating husband and all her problems ended.
The drama is aired on the Arab satellite television channel MBC and presents a message to all women to learn and depend on themselves by completing their education so they can be fully independent.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Sireen stated that her character had faced numerous obstacles due to the fact that her parents married her off at a young age before completing her education and being subject to domestic violence by a husband who finds joy in beating her and insulting her on a daily basis.
Siren also defended her clothes in the drama stressing that they reflect the everyday Lebanese woman. The actress expressed her joy at the feedback she has been receiving from viewers stating that it is a sign that the drama is a success.
