Tunisia’s Fares Ferjani had to settle for the men's individual sabre silver on Saturday night, as he missed out on becoming Africa’s first gold medallist at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Ferjani eventually lost 15-11 to South Korea’s Oh Sanguk in the gold medal bout at the Grand Palais in Paris.

This was the first medal at the Paris Olympics for Arabs.

The Olympics kicked-off on Friday, and will conclude on August 11.
