Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is set to bolster his team's already prolific attack force by signing striker Robert Lewandowski from German champions Borussia Dortmund on a five-year deal worth 18 million pounds.
According to a German newspaper, Lewandowski will be doubling his current salary after signing for his dream team, United, as he is set to accept an offer of 20.5 million pounds in wages to join the Premier League giants in the summer.
The Polish striker's contract with the club expires at the end of next season, and he would be joining United at the start of the next season, the Daily Mail reports.
Rumours linking Lewandowski with a move at Old Trafford have been common since the start of the season, but the arrival of Robin Van Persie cooled down any kind of interest from Ferguson in the Polish player of the year 2011. (ANI)
