Manchester City are preparing a move for Bayern Munich versatile star Joshua Kimmich this summer, according to The Athletic.

The Premier League champions were hoping to bring in Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United.

However, the Magpies are demanding £100 million for the Brazil international, which has forced the Cityzens to consider other alternatives.

Therefore, City are now looking into signing Kimmich for a cut-price fee.

The Germany international has entered the final year of his deal at the Allianz Stadium.

He could be sold this summer for around €50m.
