Barcelona president Joan Laporta is eyeing a move for Manchester City star striker Erling Haaland, as per Sport.

The Spanish giants are planning a prestigious signing before the end of Laporta's term, and consider the Norway international an ideal replacement to take over from Robert Lewandowski next summer.

Barca are confident in in their ability to convince the 24-year-old of making the switch as Laporta enjoys a good relationship with agent Rafaela Pimenta.

They also have Nico Williams in mind for next season, but will only move to sign him if they are met with the same price tag and wage demands of this year.

The Athletic Bilbao winger has a buyout clause of €58 million, and It should remain the same unless he puts pen to paper on a new deal.

The two stars have contracts that run until the summer of 2027.
