The latest series of X Factor Arabia might have only kicked off last month but round one of the show has already crammed in enough thrills and spills to last a series.

With four of the Arab celebosphere’s favorite divas on the judging panel, everyone knew there would be fireworks in store. But no one could have anticipated the tears and tantrums that the first two episodes have already delivered.

From shocking disses, to walk-outs and star-quality flirting, the X Factor judging panel are pulling out all the stops to dish up a weekly serving of drama.

And with crazed mega-fans, persistent wannabes, talented stars-to-be and talentless losers thrown into the mix, this series of X Factor Arabia is shaping up to be the region’s most explosive talent show yet!

Lebanese superstar Elissa is used to getting compliments from adoring fans wherever she goes. So it came as quite a shock when Algerian hopeful, Amel Etebi, dissed the diva live on TV. After Elissa turned the wannabe star down, the feisty contestant lashed out, saying: “I didn’t come to see you.”

But before the diva even had a chance to throw a wobbly, Wael Kfoury shocked everyone by storming off set, saying he’d had enough of fellow judge, Carole Samaha. Viewers breathed a sigh of relief when the cheeky heartthrob returned, admitting the whole sulk was just a joke.

Cheeky Wael Kfoury was back to his old tricks when, having seen the wannabes singing their hearts out on stage, he decided he wanted a slice of the action. During one of the breaks, the Lebanese hottie stole the show by pretending to be a contestant.

When The Voice fever took hold of the Mideast last year, all eyes were on Egyptian coach Sherine Abdel Wabab and her unpredictable mood swings. The X Factor offers its own emotional rollercoaster ride with the help of Lebanese sex-pot Elissa. Crying one minute and snapping the next, the scantily clad starlet seems to wear her heart on her sleeve.

Following the idea, ‘if at first you don’t succeed, try and try again’, after eight years of auditioning for talent shows, Syrian contestant, Sameh al Sanadili, decided to try his luck with the X Factor. And it seems it was eighth time lucky for Sameh whose efforts were rewarded with a place in the next round.

When the son of Kuwaiti singer, Nabil Sha’ib, rocked up on stage for the X Factor auditions, everyone assumed he would be a shoo-in for the next round. But it seems the wannabe star isn’t destined to follow in his father’s footsteps as he fell at the first hurdle when judges decided not to take him through to the next round.
