Second Cup Oman wins Best Marketing Award during retailor’s International Conference

Second Cup Oman was recently recognized with the Best Marketing Award during Second Cup’s debut annual International Conference which was held in Cyprus last month. Competing against 11 international markets, Second Cup Oman was one of two entries to win an Award on behalf of an entire market as opposed to other award categories that were only granted to individual outlets. Awards were given to single cafés across the globe, including Best Operating Standards, Best Café and Best Sales Growth.
Organized by Canada’s largest specialty coffee retailer’s main Headquarters in Mississauga, Canada, the Conference will be held on an annual basis to discuss franchisee’s yearly business plans, strategies, vision and objectives.
Hani bin Ali Mirza, Partner and Managing Director of Bin Mirza International (BMI) expressed, “The Best Marketing Award for an entire market is emblematic of our innovative and efficient operational and marketing techniques that have positioned us as an exceptional associate and highly certified franchisee. It is also a reflection of our deep understanding of our products, services and guests, in addition to our ongoing efforts towards the development of Second Cup Oman as a popular and trusted brand since our entry into the Omani market seven years ago and the inauguration of four fully fledged cafes.”
Mirza added, “The Award is a testament to our commitment to fulfilling our brand promise that focuses on serving the best coffee in the world by upholding the highest standards in the lifestyle and hospitality industry both locally and globally. We will continue to provide the ‘ultimate coffee experience’, oversee quality assurance and offer best in-house services through extensive local knowledge and a passion for our business.”
As part of its continual product expansion, Second Cup Oman recently introduced a collection of new drinks in three different categories using unique and innovative ingredients including chocolate and maple-based drinks, in addition to fresh orange juice-based drinks. Second Cup Oman has also launched a new food menu that consists of a large variety of sandwiches, cakes, cookies, salads and fresh fruits. The novel items use a range of popular recipes that are made exclusively by the boutique bakery BreadTalk.

Second Cup celebrates its franchisees' local ownership, and prioritizes the support of local businesses that are considered ‘neighborhood’ partners.
