H.E. Sheikh Said bin Ali bin Nafal Al Mazhali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for Civil Aviation Affairs and Oman Air Board Member, drew the names of the two grand prize winners of Oman Air's 40th National Day Sindbad Promotion in a special ceremony held at the Airline's new check-in counters at Muscat International Airport. Basheer Saydarakath and Peter Gregory were granted 40,000 miles each as part of the Airline's five week-long promotion in which a total of seven lucky frequent flyer members received 100,000 miles collectively.

"The promotion proved to be a resounding success and we extend our sincere congratulations to all winners, wishing them every enjoyment with their new Sindbad miles," said Abdulrazaq J. Alraisi, A/Chief Commercial Officer at Oman Air. "Innovation will continue to be a key driver in our business operations, as we continue to offer a multitude of unique features and great benefits through the frequent flyer programme."

Alraisi said that miles can be redeemed for free flights, upgrades, lounge access and excess baggage allowance based on tier levels, to name a few. "Since its official launch in February 2006, the Sindbad Frequent Flyer Programme has grown dramatically," he added. "We strive to continuously provide exceptional value and privileges to reward passengers for their loyalty and continued patronage as they travel to our forty one destinations onboard the Wings of Oman."

The five runner-up winners of 4,000 miles are: Hamed Al Kharusi, Elizabeth McEvoy, Asok Kolangarath, Issam Al Shanfari and Sivasamy Ayyappan.
