ALBAWABA - Social media platforms are buzzing with reports claiming that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was diagnosed with blood cancer and that his health is deteriorating.

Several people online shared a picture of Netanyahu and wrote, "BREAKING: Israeli PM Netanyahu is facing a critical health condition, he has blood cancer, diagnosed yesterday."

Many others added that the Israeli PM was not only diagnosed with blood cancer, but also stage 3 prostate cancer.

One of the posts on X gained over 4 million views and more than a thousand reposts and likes, with many people seeming to believe the alleged report, while others said it is fake news.

Was Netanyahu diagnosed with blood cancer?

Reports circulating on social media remain unverified, and no official sources have confirmed the allegations. However, it is worth mentioning that the PM had prostate surgery in December 2024 for benign enlargement, not cancer. And in February 2025, the update confirmed he has no cancer.

Many commented, denying the claims, by saying, "The claim that Netanyahu was recently diagnosed with blood cancer and stage 3 prostate cancer is false."

Another said, "There is no official reports or credible news sources confirming that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been diagnosed with blood cancer or is in critical condition."

What is blood cancer?

Blood cancer is a type of cancer that affects the blood, bone marrow, or lymphatic system — the parts of the body responsible for producing and regulating blood cells.

It occurs when abnormal blood cells grow uncontrollably and interfere with these normal functions.
