ALBAWABA - Israel announced a new operation targeting a high-profile personality in Yemen, Israeli media revealed on Saturday night.
The Israeli Army announced that the airstrike in Yemen on Saturday night was an attempt to assassinate Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, The Jerusalem Post said.
Abdul-Malik al-Houthi is a Yemeni politician and religious leader who has been the second and current leader of the Houthis, who previously carried out attacks against Israel in support of the Palestinians following the Oct. 7 war.
Houthis also blocked the Red Sea and banned any Israeli-related ship from passing through the sea.
Till this moment, neither did Israeli military sources nor any Yemeni media have revealed the fate of Abdul-Malik al-Houthi following the Israeli attack in Yemen. However, some social media accounts claimed that he died in the strike.
