A video of an Iranian woman clashing with a group of women who work for the “Morality Police” has been circulating Twitter.

Three chador-wearing policewomen were harassing a woman for her head cover. At the time she got her phone out and recorded the incident on video. The women ran away when they saw the camera and pretended using their phones to get away from the camera.

As the main task for the morality police is to impose Islamic dress codes and norms of conduct in public among people, several incidents took place recently in Iran in which policewomen were seen attacking girls for not wearing a hijab or even if it was loose or worn in a wrong way.

The video is not the first of its kind. Iranian women have been protesting the morality police, their mandatory hijab practice and the discriminatory laws that rule the way women dress and behave in public places.
