ALBAWABA - As hundreds of airline catering workers took to the streets near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in protest against unsafe and poor working conditions, a video flooding social media captured some of the protestors blocking a road to prevent travelers from reaching the airport.
It captured a woman telling one of the protestors, "I’m going to miss my flight. I’m flying to Europe," after one of them told her, "These are people’s lives. You need to stop!"
The video in question sparked debate on X (formerly Twitter), with many users blasting the protestors for their actions. Several claimed that if they were in the woman's shoes, they would've run over the protestors.

A social media user wrote under a post featuring the video, "Run them over. Nothing good ever comes from stopping your vehicle like that."
Another added, "This is what I hate the most about activists and protestors. They are disrupting the lives of ordinary people, while achieving absolutely nothing. Why are they even allowed to do that? If they have to protest about something, why don't they protest in front of a gov building?"
According to ABC 7, the airline catering workers are employees of Flying Food Group who are calling for Los Angeles World Airports to take action against the catering company, alleging unsafe working conditions, including fire alarm malfunctions, flooded workplaces, chemical burns, and bursting pipes.
An employee said in a statement, "The conditions, from pipes bursting to blocked exits, and chemical burns are outrageous. I want a workplace where I feel safe. We ask the city to hold Flying Food Group accountable."
