ALBAWABA - A massive effigy of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer holding a torch and a digital ID card was recently set on fire during a Guy Fawkes event in Kent, Saturday night.

Videos of the incident flooded social media, capturing the crowd cheering as the effigy was set on fire, as fireworks launched into the air in the town of Edenbridge. The incident comes in protest against Starmer's policies and leadership, including discontent with the new national digital identity system.

The new system will be app-based and will include all kinds of personal information, such as locals' names, nationality, and date of birth, according to the UK government.

The Edenbridge Bonfire Society is no stranger to setting political figures ablaze, as it's been an annual tradition for more than 30 years. Previous victims included US President Donald Trump, former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, London Mayor Sadiq Khan, and many more.

According to The Daily Mail, a member of the Edenbridge Bonfire Society said that "The effigy this year for the first time actually has a Guy Fawkes ruff and he's wearing a hat because we feel that Starmer is doing quite well at igniting Parliament by himself at the moment."

Keir Starmer came out victorious against Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Andrew Tate to be the centerpiece of the Saturday night event.

The footage garnered a wide variety of reactions on social media. A user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "Keir Starmer turned the UK into a waiting room for migrants and a circus for political clowns. That 36‑ft effigy wasn’t just a burn—it was Britain’s frustration going up in flames."

Another wrote, "Didn’t see this shown on the MSM news what an amazing British spectacular event that surely deserves national attention, perhaps it’s just too British and historical."

An internet user wrote under the Daily Mail article, "Starmer the traitor needs to resign NOW."
