ALBAWABA - American commentator Tucker Carlson said on Friday that the Israeli government and PM Benjamin Netanyahu have threatened his entire family.
Carlson, a leading critic of Israel on the right, came to Israel on Wednesday to interview US Ambassador Mike Huckabee.
He said in a program released Friday following his brief visit to Israel, "The Israeli government and Netanyahu himself tried to punish two members of my family. I won’t be more specific, but actually punish two members of my family because he, as he has said in public many times, believes in blood guilt, Amalek. You know, when someone commits a crime against you, you punish not just him, but his family, his bloodline."
Carlson accused Israel and its prime minister of personally threatening him and his relatives. In addition, the TV host described Israel as a police state and questioned its right to exist and the historic ties of the Jewish population to the land. He also accused Tel Aviv of controlling US policy.
Nonetheless, Carlson also said that Israel is "probably the most violent country on earth".
The American right-wing show host also claimed that Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited Jeffrey Epstein’s private island. However, Israeli media outlets denied the allegations, saying the photo circulated online was generated using AI.
According to the Times of Israel, President Herzog's name is found in the Epstein files, however, only in news reports, and there's no evidence of personal ties with American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
