ALBAWABA - In an exclusive interview with NewsNation, US President Donald Trump threatened that he would bomb the entirety of Iran if Tehran attempted to assassinate him.
The US President told Katie Pavlich, "I've left notification, anything ever happens... the whole country's going to get blown up," adding that he would "wipe them off the face of this earth."
According to The White House's official X account, the exclusive interview with Pavlich was scheduled to mark Trump's one-year anniversary of his second term in office.
Trump says he will bomb all of Iran if Tehran attempts to assassinate him
During the interview, Trump said that former US President Joe Biden should've responded to Iran's threats before he took officein January 2025 as the 47th President. He added, "A president has to defend a president, like if I were here and they were making that threat to somebody... not even a president but somebody, I would hit them so hard."
This comes as tensions escalate between Iran and the US due to massive anti-regime protests that took place in the country against the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the declining economy, prompting the government to temporarily cut off the internet, as reported by AP.
Iran recently warned the US President not to take action against Khamenei and intervene in Iran's affairs. A spokesperson for the Iranian forces, General Abolfazl Shekarchi, said, "Trump knows that if any hand of aggression is extended toward our leader, we not only cut that hand but also we will set fire to their world."
