Has Trump unfollowed Netanyahu on twitter or it's just a rumor?

Un-official statement by an unverified twitter user, named Mark Lutchman, accused US President Donald Trump of unfollowing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Twitter.

The Tweet has gone viral due to the strong relationship between Trump and Netanyahu during the past four years.

Some sources claimed that Trump’s unfollow came after Netanyahu had congratulated Joe Biden and his Vice President candidate Kamala Harris ahead of 2020 election victory.

Others have declined this accusation saying that Trump had never followed Israeli PM in the first place and the accusations are false.

After the US elections’ results, Netanyahu posted a tweet congratulating Biden and Harris Saying: "Congratulations @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris. Joe, we've had a long & warm personal relationship for nearly 40 years, and I know you as a great friend of Israel. I look forward to working with both of you to further strengthen the special alliance between the U.S. and Israel."

Other world leaders then rushed to congratulate the new US president-elect Joe Biden despite Trump’s refusal to concede and ‘fraudulent’ accusations since his opponent started to take the lead in the vote count.

The US and Israeli relations have grown stronger since the election of Donald as president in 2016; as he had announced the ‘Deal of the Century’ proposal to resolve the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. However, the deal stands in the Israeli favor and was rejected by the Palestinian authorities.

In return, Netanyahu’s administration has named a settlement in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights in honor of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, calling it ‘Trump Heights.’
