ALBAWABA - An off-duty LAFD paramedic took the internet by storm after a video captured him charging into a burning duplex to save a seven-year-old child from the fire on Thanksgiving night.
Richard Recinos is being dubbed the "Thanksgiving hero" on social media for his act of kindness. According to KTLA, the man was driving home with his family after Thanksgiving dinner when he noticed a glow in the sky in East Hollywood.

Recinos said, "Considering the circumstances, I saw my opportunity for a quick grab and go, quick exit, and everything went well."
Several reports indicate that Recinos arrived at the scene before the firefighters and rushed to carry the girl to safety.
KTLA revealed that the seven-year-old child suffered minor burns on her feet due to the fire and was rushed to the hospital, where she spent the night.
The video sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many users praising the off-duty paramedic for his heroism and taking immediate action.
A social media user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Wow, this is the kind of heroism we don't see enough of! This off-duty paramedic didn't hesitate for a second to jump into action when he saw little Savannah in danger."
