Kuwaiti broadcaster Muhammad Al-Mo’men has ignited huge debate on social media after sharing a video of himself announcing leaving Islam and converting into Christianity.
In the video, he came out wearing a Cross and said “Because we are Christians” then he drew the “In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit” sign.

Muhammad’s video got alot of engagements and mixed reactions as thousands of people shared it with varied points of views. Some called on his country to arrest him and even threatened to kill him; some showed no interest in his decision while others called human rights groups to save him.

Some Twitter users accused Mohammad Al-Mu'min of attempting to secure an asylum saying that converting to Christianity might be the easiest way to get one.
