ALBAWABA - Iraqi journalist and TikToker Vain Al-Jaf died after she committed suicide by throwing herself off her house' balcony in Erbil.
A security source in Kurdistan said: "The Erbil Police Directorate received a call from patrols that were present at the scene of the incident, about a young woman in her late 30s falling from the balcony of her apartment on the fifth floor in one of the residential complexes, which led to her death immediately."
He further maintained that a police force rapidly went to the incident scene to discover that the girl was the journalist, Vain Al-Jaf.
According to Iraqi media, the neighbours of Vain Al-Jaf surrounded the body of the Iraqi journalist after she jumped from the balcony.
Police added that she was transferred to the forensic medicine office to dissect the body and wait for the forensic medicine report.
The reason behind the suicide was not uncovered as police launched an investigation into the incident, but some witnesses revealed that the journalist was heard arguing in a loud voice with her husband before the incident.
