ALBAWABA - A few days after the story of the Iranian student Ahou Daryae, who stripped to underwear after being harassed by university morality police over her hijab, a schoolgirl in Iran jumped to her death amid a rift over violating the country's dress code.
According to Iranian activists, Arezoo Khavari, a 16-year-old schoolgirl, died after jumping from a building to her death after being sent back from a school trip for violating the dress code.
Iranian-American women activist Masih Alinejad reported that Arezoo Khavari wore jeans instead of the prescribed uniform leaving her in trouble.
According to Alinejad, the father of the student complained that his daughter was also harassed earlier for not complying with the hijab dress code imposed on females in schools.
She wrote on X: "Last year school almost refused to enroll her." "Her grieving father revealed that this was not an isolated incident; Arezoo had faced repeated harassment from the school for her attire and her non-compliance with the mandatory hijab policy," she added.
Her jeans were not the only issue, the Iranian activist also added that the vice principal at her school had earlier threatened to expel her after she caught a video of her dancing without her hijab.
