ALBAWABA - Sohaila Nasr, a student at the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University in Egypt, died after falling from the 8th floor of the university’s expatriate building (a private girls’ residence).

Amid unconfirmed reports of whether the accident was a suicide or not, many activists on social media speculated that the Egyptian student was pushed down by her friends in a 'planned crime'.

On the other hand, some people allegedly speculated that the victim wanted to get rid of her life after she failed in some University subjects.

Nonetheless, family members of Sohaila Nasr, the victim who fell to her death, took to Facebook urging the Egyptian authorities to investigate the accident as they believe it was a planned crime and not a suicide.

They accused three of her classmates of throwing her from the 8th floor after luring her to the university dormitory under the pretext of visiting one of them and then getting rid of her due to disputes between them, according to some Egyptian media outlets.

Her brother Mahmoud, said in a Facebook post: "We lost my sister, Dr. Sohaila Nasr, a fifth-year student at the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University in mysterious circumstances." He added: "She was thrown from the 8th floor in the Female students' housing and the truth about what happened is still unknown."

Her brother also noted that the right of Sohaila Nasr will not be lost and we request a private investigation into her death and punish the people responsible or involved in the crime.

In addition, her sister Moshera Nasr also said: "I'm the sister of Dr Sohaila, my sister died in a horrible crime and the forensic medicine confirmed and the investigation is ongoing and her right will be restored."
