ALBAWABA - Americans lashed out at Kamala Harris, US Vice President and current Democratic candidate, after her announcement on the $750 for Americans who were affected after Hurricane Helene.
Harris said yesterday that Joe Biden, president of the US, approved Georgia Governor Brian Kemp’s request for 100 percent reimbursement of local costs of responding to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
In her speech in Augusta, Georgia, the 2024 presidential candidate added the federal reimbursement will also be in charge of covering food, and water costs as well as providing shelters and removing debris along with emergency services.
Billions for Ukraine: Harris allocates $750 for Americans after Hurricane Helene
Social media users strongly criticized Kamala Harris after announcing $750 for Americans, who were struck by Hurricane Helene.
Activists said the United States is sending billions of aid for Ukraine and Israel amid ongoing wars, but allocated "crumbs" for Americans.
A person wrote: "$750 for Americans. The world for illegals and Ukraine." Another said: "$750 for Americans. $8 billion dollars to that corrupt "little dictator" Zelensky. November 5th can't come fast enough."
A comment reads: "Why does this administration have bottomless pockets for Ukraine, illegals, and other nations, but Americans dealing with the aftermath of the hurricane are getting $750? It doesn’t cover a damned thing."
