ALBAWABA - Pro-Palestinian activists were brust with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) report on the death of a Gazan boy with Down's syndrome.

BBC released a report on Tuesday on the death of a boy in Gaza, who has Down's syndrome and autism, triggering wide anger after its ignorance to mention the real reason behind the Gazan boy's death.

BBC changes headline of Gazan boy with Down's syndrome after criticism

In the first headline, BBC wrote: "Gaza man with Down's syndrome dies lonely death." After posting the article on X (formerly Twitter), the British broadcaster gained huge criticism from pro-Palestinians.

Activists on social media slammed the BBC after it ignored to mention that the Gaza boy, named Muhammed Bhar, 24, was attacked by an Israeli military dog, according to his mother.

A person commented: "He was killed. He didn't just die. Why does the BBC keep misleading the audience by erasing the perpetrator?." Another added: "You mean he was separated from his family, deliberately mauled by an IDF attack dog within earshot of them and left to die. His parents found his decomposing body later. That’s called murder."

BBC then changed the headline to "Gaza man with Down's syndrome attacked by IDF dog and left to die, mother tells BBC."

The story of Muhammed Bhar

Middle East Eye reported citing Bhar's mother that the Israeli troops entered the house of the Palestinian family in eastern Gaza City’s Shujaiya neighbourhood. Israeli forces released military dogs, which attacked Muhammed and started mauling him.

According to the mother, Israeli soldiers took all family members outside of the house except for Muhammed Bhar. The family was forced to leave at gunpoint and they returned after seven days to find the body of the Gazan boy with "warms eating his face".

His mother confirmed that despite the fact that Muhammed was 24, he "was like a one-year-old".
