Zad’s Catering Division, Part of Zad Industries and Services, Jordan’s largest industrial food caterer has announced completion of delivery and commissioning of equipment, followed by comprehensive training received from Awar under an agreement that was signed in April 2006, for a total value exceeding one million dollars.
“Zad was built to provide pioneering catering services that include multinational meals to large organizations, on 24/7 basis, throughout Jordan, such as industrial establishments, construction companies, service companies, hospitals, schools, government establishments and universities. We realized from day one that our success in providing a pioneering service requires high efficiency, high capacity, consistency and hygiene. This meant that we needed to use state of the art reliable equipment combined with an after sale service that is up to the standard we strive to maintain. For these reasons Electrolux was chosen as the brand of equipment and Awar as our partner in this endeavor,” said Mr. Rodney Woolliscroft, General Manager, Zad.
“Awar has provided Zad with a comprehensive solution under the Electrolux brand name. Electrolux appliances are specifically designed to meet the needs of professional large scale practices. Heavy duty refrigeration units, storage facilities, specialized hi-tech ovens and cookers in addition to packaging and thermal boxes were among the equipment that Zad was supplied with. We are proud to have been the supplier for Zad as this is the largest catering facility we have supplied in the Levant area,” said Managing Director of Awar Mr. Ghassan Ali Hasan.
“Electrolux is an integrated solutions specialist in the world of food service equipment, and a leading brand with 55 million products sold each year to customers in over 100 countries worldwide, meeting the needs of sophisticated professionals across the world,” added Ali Hasan.
“The training that was provided to Zad’s staff on the supplied equipment was provided by Electrolux’s international staff who came into the country especially for this purpose. The training has enabled Zad’s staff to utilize the machines to their best advantage with maximum efficiency, consistency, and hygiene utilizing best practices set by manufacturers.
“We are confident in the technology we have utilized and in our trained staff, that combined with our competitive rates gives us an edge in the market,” said Abdelhaleem Humood, Zad’s Marketing and Customer Relations Manager.
Zad will be the largest Jordanian company to provide multinational hot and cold meals including Arabic, Indian, Sri Lankan, and Chinese meals -within different menus at competitive rates for a wide range of tastes and budgets- prepared by 220 professionally trained Jordanian staff together with multinational chefs who work in accordance with international standards including ISO quality assurance and HACCP food safety procedures.
