Workshop on maternal and child health to be held on Nov 21-22
The National Collaborative Perinatal Neonatal Network (NCPNN) is holding a two-day meeting on maternal and child health on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22 at the Movenpick Hotel in Beirut.
Established in 1998, the NCPNN is a non-profit network of 23 hospitals working to promote maternal neo natal and perinatal health through scientific research and public health interventions.
The NCPNN hopes to expand its network to create a regional collaboration among various medical centers.
The NCPNN has been supported by the American University of Beirut Research Board and the Department of Pediatrics at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, as well as the WHO, the March of Dimes, UNICEF, and the Lebanese National Council for Scientific Research.
The two-day meeting will address various topics including, pre-term births, congenital heart disease, allergy prevention, preconception care, immunization, and probiotics use in infants suffering from colitis.
