ALBAWABA The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that it has faced challenges in reaching the north of the Gaza Strip for nearly two weeks due to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on the "X" social media platform (formerly known as Twitter) last night that a planned mission to Al-Awda hospital and four other hospitals in the besieged northern Gaza Strip has been canceled for the fourth time due to the inability to guarantee security.

The post stated, "Today, @WHO canceled a planned mission to Al-Awda hospital and the central drug store in northern #Gaza for the fourth time since December 26 because we did not receive deconfliction and safety guarantees."

The post further added, " It has now been 12 days since we were last able to reach northern Gaza."

The WHO stated that intense shelling, restricted mobility, and disrupted communications have created conditions making it "nearly impossible" to distribute medical supplies to the isolated coastal strip, particularly in the northern region.

The post further highlighted the critical shortage of staff in most hospitals, as health workers have either evacuated due to orders or left because of security concerns. Simultaneously, patients are facing difficulties accessing health facilities due to hazardous conditions, as emphasized in the statement.
