Arabic Music Sensation to be Associated with Digital Leader’s Latest Handsets in the MENA Market
Digital leader LG Electronics confirmed October 14th that it has signed up Arabic music star Wael Kfoury as Brand Ambassador for its successful mobile phone business in the Middle East and Africa.
The well-known Arabic singer, who has wowed the world with his eclectic songs such as ‘Ma Wa’atik Bi Njoom Allail’, ‘Al Shawq Al Shawq’, ‘Hikayat Ashiq’, and ‘Ala Babak’, now, takes on an exciting new role – association with some of the most highly desired mobile handsets in the world.
At a press conference held in Crowne Plaza Hotel Dubai on October 14th, Mr. K. W. Kim, CEO of LG Electronics Middle East and Africa Regional Company, said: "To mark our strategic focus on aggressively growing our mobile handset business in the MEA region, we are extremely delighted to announce our association with Wael Kfoury and his appointment as brand ambassador for our upcoming mobile launches."
The Managing Director of LG Electronics Levant, Mr. Kevin Cha said, “LG Electronics continues to impress consumers with premium phones that set the standard for cutting-edge technology and sophisticated design. Wael is truly a star that appeals to our customers and together we share the same culture of innovation and pursuit of excellence.”
According to LGE, the endorsement deal will include Kfoury being featured in LGE’s marketing campaigns along with retail and promotional activities for their upcoming mobile handsets. The new handset releases will be launched as part of the Wael Kfoury Collection and will be now available in the MENA market.
Kfoury’s association with LGE comes at an exciting time for the brand, which has launched several well-acclaimed models over the past few years, including LGE’s Chocolate, PRADA, Shine, among others, and has enjoyed an impressive third quarter growth in the handset business.
Kfoury added, “It is a tremendous opportunity for me to represent a successful company which has been at the forefront of promoting Arabic culture and whose products and services are extremely popular throughout the world. They have achieved great success by focusing on what they do best and I look forward to working with them to tell that story.”
Kfoury will begin his exciting tenure as brand ambassador by launching a limited edition of the KF510, an exclusive gold-and-black version of the best-selling model. The touch-slider phone accentuates the style of its owner with its true minimalist look and feel. Packed with a host of useful features, the KF510 has also been called the “Touch Lighting Phone”, thanks to the Interactive Touch Lighting technology used in its navigational pad.
