The Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department has announced it was easing visit visa regulations, but only for the coming tourism season. Local residents will be able to apply visas for their family members and friends back home.
Director of the Department Col Saeed Matar bin Bleilah said: "We expect a tremendous rush and are offering visit visa applicants incentives in order to promote tourism. "The applicant needs to be earning a salary of Dh5,000. He may apply for any number of visit visas for his family and each member of the family will be entitled to a coupon that will go into a draw for one kg of gold."
The applicant, according to bin Bleilah, must have a Dubai residence visa that is in excess of one year. (Albawaba.com)
