US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright arrived in damascus Tuesday to attend the funeral of President Hafez Assad, state television showed.
Albright flew into the airport and immediately boarded a car for the ride to the People's Palace on Qasyun hill overlooking Damascus where Assad's casket was lying in state – DAMASCUS (AFP)
