To cut through the clutter of communications currently bombarding business people in the Middle East, Avaya is this month bringing its vision of Unified Communications - one consolidated easy-to-use interface that embeds communication into what people do – to the region via a six-city roadshow. Avaya’s Riyadh roadshow takes place on May 23, 2007 at the Four Seasons Hotel.
Avaya and its business partners in the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar will demonstrate how businesses can benefit from Unified Communications and become more productive, accelerate workflow and business processes, and reduce costs and risks. AlMasa IT Distribution is the key sponsor for Avaya’s Unified Communications regional roadshow. The Riyadh roadshow is being sponsored by Emerging Technologies, Western Electric Saudi Arabic Co. Ltd, Arabic Computer Systems, and Jerasy Computer and Communication Services.
“Employees in the Kingdom have too many devices and communication applications to manage. Users are bombarded with phone calls, email, voice mail, fax, and instant messaging,” said Roger El Tawil, channel and marketing director, MENA, Avaya. “Through Unified Communications, Avaya aims to integrate these applications under one easy-to-use interface that enables users to respond faster to clients, and give them a competitive edge. Unified Communications is a major initiative in our industry that will shape regional market and change the way businesses deliver strategic communications and collaboration tools to workers wherever they are, and on any device.”
Unified Communications is Avaya’s vision of the convergence of real-time and non-real-time business communication applications. These applications include telephony, conferencing, email, voice mail, instant messaging, video, and collaboration across a variety of interfaces be it PC or web-based clients, telephones and mobile devices, or speech.
El Tawil added: “Avaya’s Unified Communications strategy has consistently emphasised streamlined integration of our solutions with existing networks and applications, to better leverage our customers’ current technology investments. We anticipate that Unified Communications will be one of the most significant advances in the Middle East’s networking sector throughout 2007.”
