A UN delegation that will travel to Damascus to follow up on the use of chemical weapons by Syrian government forces has arrived in Beirut.

A source at Beirut airport told The Daily Star Wednesday the six-member team led by Swedish expert Ake Sellstrom arrived late Tuesday from Germany.

The source said the delegation is expected to head to Damascus before midday.
