Umniah and Omar Abdullat Celebrate Salt as Jordanian Cultural Capital
Umniah, Jordan’s pioneering provider of telecommunication services, recently celebrated the selection of Salt as the Jordanian Cultural Capital for 2008 with a live concert featuring the Jordanian popular singer Omar Al Abdullat – a native of Salt. The audience enjoyed the folklore and popular songs with enthusiasm his new Album.
Mr. Joseph Hanania, CEO of Umniah said: "we have chosen Salt, the historical city, wealthy with architectural sites to stage, this festival for Abdullat, this in itself is a source of pride for all of us, because Umniah constantly strives to launch encouraging initiatives and purposeful activities all over the Kingdom, through the many innovative programs with perseverance to maintain rapport with our audience.
He added: "we would like to thank the Jordanian singer, Omar Abdullat for contributing to this innovation which will strengthen our mutual strategic partnership. In addition, we aim to play an effective national role in the future to support Jordanian talents and increase such capabilities at the cultural events."
Its worth mentioning that Umniah cooperated with Omar Abdullat ,Umniah’s Trade mark Ambassador, by taking this initiative to sponsor the production of his new album under the name ( Omariyyat 2 ) which features a variety of songs expressing patriotism and loyalty to his beloved country. The album consists of 12 songs featuring each city of the Kingdom. His new album is a huge success and has met great response from impressive audiences.
