The contest will select one of the entries in the ‘Best Website in the UAE’ category to receive the prize, which is the highest honour at the UAE Web Awards. Winners and two runners-up will also be selected in 23 other award categories, receiving golden, silver and bronze trophies respectively. The pioneering award is organised by BSA jointly with the Assembly of Professionals and Technicians in Lebanon (APTL) with the aim of honouring web professionals and safeguarding their Intellectual Property Rights. The prize will be presented in Dubai on November 25, 2006.

The awards honour the web professional and the creativity that goes into putting together an attractive website.”
Entries will be graded by a jury comprising experts in web designing and will be judged according to special criteria that meet specific high-level standards of web design. Winners of the H.H. Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Prize, launched last year, will qualify to represent the UAE at the prestigious Pan Arab Web Awards 2007 competition. Winners will be announced at an official ceremony to be announced shortly.
