UAE’s Sharjah emirate municipality ordered a temporary closure of 17 shops, fined another 323 others and issued warnings to 908 others in July, during a campaign of hygienic inspection, Khaleej Times reported Tuesday.
These measures were taken following an inspection campaign carried out by the municipality's public health section during the month. It covered 2,733 shops, restaurants and canteens, 278 food containers and 38 food trucks belonging to various companies importing foodstuff into the emirate, the paper said, quoting an official report issued Monday by the municipality - Albawaba.com
