Typhoon Kalmaegi kills at least 90 in Philippines

ALBAWABA - Typhoon Kalmaegi's death toll in the Philippines jumped to more than 90 on Wednesday, AFP reported.

A spokesman for the hard-hit Cebu province said that an additional 35 bodies were found in a town on the coast, taking the provincial tally to 76.

In addition, the spokesperson further mentioned that the national civil defence office said that at least 17 deaths were recovered from other provinces in the Asian country, raising the death toll to over 90.

The Guardian mentioned earlier that Typhoon Kalmaegi killed six military personnel whose helicopter crashed on the island of Mindanao, while they were on a duty mission.
