Two Palestinians were shot dead Thursday afternoon by Israeli forces near the villages of Baka al-Garbiyeh, only hours after a Palestinian teenager, a Fatah member, killed an Israeli in the area, which is situated close to the West Bank border.

Israeli police said the two were would-be bombers, carrying on their bodies explosives belts, Israel Radio reported.

Earlier, an Israeli man was killed in a shooting attack near the village. The dead man was an employee of the Israeli Bezeq telephone company. The man was involved in maintenance works in the area.

Israel's Army radio reported that the 15-year old attacker was shot and wounded by Israeli security forces, who arrived at the scene.

The al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades - the military wing of Fatah - claimed responsibility for the attack.

Also Thursday, Palestinian MP Kadura Fares confirmed that Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Fatah have reached a basic agreement for a three-month cease-fire on attacks both in Israel and the occupied territories.

"We have already reached the stage of the wording and finishing the results and I hope that in the coming hours it will be complete," he told Israel Radio.

"In principle there is an agreement, but the wording needs to be finalized and Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) must complete his role for the official acceptance of the hudna," Fares added. (Albawaba.com)
