ALBAWABA - Turkish authorities arrested 33 people suspected of involvement in espionage activities on behalf of Israel's Mossad, Daily Sabah reported on Tuesday.
Earlier, Turkey's Chief Prosecutor’s Office in Istanbul also released arrest warrants against 46 suspects in an investigation into Israeli intelligence service Mossad's alleged plot targeting foreigners in Turkey.
Turkish police are now working to arrest the other suspects.
Turkish officials revealed that arrest operations were conducted in eight provinces against people suspected of involvement in espionage activities for Mossad.
Chief Prosecutor’s Office said that the probe showed that Israeli intelligence was plotting to target foreigners in the country, from reconnaissance to assaults and abduction attempts, Daily Sabah reported.
