The Transguard Group, an Emirates Group company, has been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to provide security guards for the hotels and clubs of the Emaar Hospitality Group and full security provision for MAF’s Mall of the Emirates and Deira City Centre shopping malls.
Under the Emaar contract which alone is worth AED5.5 million annually, Transguard’s Facilities Management division will initially deploy around 160 guards across the full portfolio of Emaar hotels and clubs such as The Address, the Montgomery Golf Club and Arabian Ranches Polo Club.
The contract award means that Transguard is now responsible for a comprehensive range of outsource services to Emaar Hospitality, including providing the security, kitchen stewards and public area cleaning services for the Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower.
Transguard’s FM division has also been awarded a major contract from Majid Al Futtaim Properties for the full security service provision at the prestigious Mall of the Emirates and Deira City Centre properties.
These two flagship retail malls will require a total deployment of around 180 security personnel. “This contract will help to further establish Transguard as a market leading facilities management and security service provider in the retail sector,” said Mike Kitchen, Head of FM Services at Transguard.
“Continued growth in the UAE facilities management sector is creating new challenges and opportunities for the company,” said Kitchen. “These latest contract wins consolidate our leading position supported by a team of skilled staff trained to the highest standards to satisfy the demands of our many major regional and international clients.”
